Tasmanian Odyssey, the only comprehensive and dedicated Tasmanian tour operator and travel company in the world, was established by Susie de Carteret to provide travellers with high-quality and responsible holidays for those wishing to appreciate the natural beauty, landscape, wilderness and wildlife in Tasmania.

Tasmanian Odyssey was created to provide travellers with high-quality and responsible holidays and vacations for those wishing to appreciate the natural beauty, landscape, wilderness and wildlife in Tasmania, half of which is now protected by National Park or UNESCO World Heritage status.

We try to ensure that all the accommodation and tours we use are privately owned and run, wherever possible by Tasmanians - although we don't hold a grudge against those who have fallen in love with Tassie and moved there from the mainland or overseas! We only work with those that demonstrate a clear responsible travel policy. Most are privately-owned by locals who started their business due to a deep connection and passion for the environment and its wildlife.  We make an annual donation to the Tasmanian Land Conservancy which is a not-for-profit organisation that buys up land to protect native flora and fauna. We sponsor a Tasmanian Devil at Devils@Cradle Wildlife Sanctuary.
